Bike rental

Do the rental bikes come with locks?

Yes. All our rental bikes come with a lock, and our team will show you how to use it before you leave.

What time do I need to return my rental bike?

All rental bikes must be returned to our shop before 6:00 PM on your return day.

Can I return my bike after the shop closes?

No. Rental bikes must be returned to our shop before 6:00 PM, when the shop closes.

Can I rent a bike late in the afternoon?

Yes, but the bike must still be returned before 6:00 PM. If you rent a bike late in the afternoon, we recommend choosing a shorter rental period.

I rented a bike for 24 hours but have a flight tonight. What should I do?

The bike must be returned before 6:00 PM. If you have a flight or other plans later in the evening, please make sure to return the bike before the shop closes.

Do you have children’s bikes or child seats?

Yes. We have children’s bikes and child seats with seat belts. Please let us know what you need when booking or when you arrive.

Can I rent an electric bike?

Yes, electric bikes are available to rent if you notify us in advance. E-bikes must be returned before 6:00 PM on the day of return.

Do I need a helmet?

Helmets are not required for cycling in the Netherlands. Many people cycle without one because the cycling infrastructure is very well developed. If you prefer to wear one, helmets are available.

Can I rent a helmet or poncho?

Yes. For bike rentals, you can rent a helmet and poncho for €4.

Can I extend my rental?

Yes. You can extend your rental period, depending on availability. Extensions receive a 10% discount on the next rental period.

Can I return the bike a little late?

Please return your bike on time and always before 6:00 PM. If you are running a few minutes late, please call us as soon as possible. Extra charges may apply for late returns.

If I rent a bike for 24 hours but only use it for a few hours, can I get a partial refund?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer partial refunds if you return the bike earlier than planned.

Where do I return the bike?

Rental bikes must be returned to our shop at Piet heinkade 25. At the moment, we do not have a separate pick-up or drop-off point in the city centre.

How much does bike rental cost?

Prices depend on the rental duration and bike type. You can find the current rental prices on the bike rental page.

Guided bike tours

Is the tour guided?

Yes. Our guided and private bike tours include a physical guide who leads the group through the city or countryside. You can also book a self-guided tour on our website.

What happens if it rains?

Our tours usually still take place in the rain. Ponchos are available for free if needed. In extreme weather events, the tour will be cancelled. Please call ahead for any questions.

Can I use an e-bike for a guided tour?

Yes, e-bikes can be used on many guided tours for €23.50 extra (not for the e-bike countryside tour, where it is already included). Please let us know in advance so we can make sure one is available for you.

Are helmets available for guided tours?

Yes. Helmets are available free of charge for our guided tours. Please ask us before the tour starts.

Do I need earbuds for the tour?

No. Earbuds are not required for our guided tours.

Can I leave my belongings at the shop during the tour?

Yes. You can leave your belongings with us during the tour. We have a small storage space available at the shop.

What happens if I am late for a guided tour?

Please call us as soon as possible. If you contact us in advance, the guide may be able to wait a few minutes. If we do not hear from you, the group will leave on time and the guide cannot wait.

Can I join the tour after it has already started?

Usually, no. Once the group has left, it can be difficult to find them without delaying the tour. If you miss the start, we will help you reschedule based on availability.

Can I join with a wheelchair hand bike?

We do not provide wheelchair hand bikes. If you have your own hand bike, participation may be possible as long as you are able to keep up with the pace of the group. Please contact us in advance so we can advise you.

Self-guided tours

Is a self-guided tour guided by a person?

No. A self-guided tour means there is no physical guide. You follow the route yourself using our app. We will help you with downloading the free app and explaining how it works in the shop.

Can I leave my belongings at the shop during a self-guided tour?

Yes. You can leave your belongings with us and pick them up again when you return.

Is there a lunch break on the self-guided countryside tour?

There is no fixed lunch break, but there are places along the route where you can stop for drinks, snacks, or food.

What time do I need to return the bike?

For self-guided tours, bikes must be returned before 6:00 PM because the shop closes at that time.

Cancellations, delays and rescheduling

My flight or train was delayed. Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for delays outside our control. However, we will do our best to help you reschedule based on availability.

I cannot come today. Can I come another day?

In many cases, we can help you reschedule your booking for another day, depending on availability. Please contact us as soon as possible.
